CHA Biotech has reported that mouse embryonic stem cells transplanted into mouse
brain differentiated into neuronal cells successfully replacing defective neurons in the
host brain. They also announced that production of dopaminergic neurons is another
ongoing project which will be directly applicable to elderly patients suffering from
Parkinson ' s disease.
Experiences in this area, they expect, will allow them to widen their specialties to other
neurological disorders including Alzheimer ' s disease, Huntington ' s disease, stroke, and
spinal cord injury in the near future. |
